PT Sentral Lab Genetik (SLG) had the opportunity to participate in the Seminar and Workshop: Exercise and Electrophysiology for Research in Human and Animal, held at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, on 30 June – 1 July 2026. The two-day event brought together researchers, lecturers, students, and healthcare professionals to discuss the role of exercise physiology and electrophysiology in advancing biomedical research for both human and animal studies.
Day 1 – 30 June 2026

The seminar opened with a presentation by Dr. dr. Sinu Andhi Jusup, M.Kes., AIFM, entitled “Endothelial Function Repair: Exercise-Triggered Biomarkers That Predict Cardiovascular Longevity.” The session highlighted the important relationship between regular physical exercise, vascular health, and the use of biomarkers to better understand cardiovascular function and healthy aging.
The second presentation was delivered by Dr. dr. Yetty Machrina, AIFO-K., M.Kes., Sp.KKLP., Subsp. FOMC, who discussed “Exercise and Longevity.” She emphasized that achieving the benefits of exercise does not always require high-intensity training. Instead, consistent and appropriate physical activity plays a significant role in improving overall health and promoting longevity.
Representing PT Sentral Lab Genetik (SLG), Mutia Balqis, S.Si., Application Specialist Manager, introduced PowerLab by ADInstruments, explaining how the system supports physiological measurements in human research. The session demonstrated how researchers can acquire accurate, real-time physiological data for various applications in exercise science, medical education, and clinical research.
The first day concluded with interactive hands-on workshops, including Conducting Physical Fitness Assessment and Human Electrophysiology with PowerLab. Participants gained practical experience in measuring physiological parameters and observing the effects of physical exercise on blood pressure and hand grip strength using PowerLab.
Day 2 – 1 July 2026

On the second day, Dr. dr. Yetty Machrina presented another insightful session focusing on the relationship between herbal interventions and longevity, discussing the potential role of natural compounds in supporting healthy aging. The technical session from PT Sentral Lab Genetik (SLG) continued with “Electrophysiology with PowerLab and KAHA by ADInstruments in Animal Research.” Participants were introduced to electrophysiological recording techniques and telemetry solutions that enable researchers to perform both invasive and non-invasive physiological studies in laboratory animals while maintaining high-quality data acquisition.
Throughout the seminar and workshop, participants explored how ADInstruments provides comprehensive solutions for physiological research across a wide range of applications. From non-invasive human measurements such as ECG, blood pressure, respiratory analysis, muscle activity, and exercise physiology, to advanced invasive and non-invasive animal research using PowerLab and KAHA Telemetry, ADInstruments offers reliable technologies that support education, translational research, and scientific discovery.
PT Sentral Lab Genetik remains committed to supporting researchers by providing innovative research solutions together with comprehensive technical and application support. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) for the opportunity to participate in this event and for the excellent collaboration. We look forward to continuing our partnership in advancing research and education through innovative scientific technologies.
