Seminar and Workshop: Application of Equivital Wireless Physiological Monitoring System for Improving the Health of Champions

In a significant step toward modernizing athlete development in Indonesia, PT. Sentral Lab Genetik and ADInstruments, in collaboration with Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), recently hosted a specialized seminar and workshop focused on the future of sports performance. Located and held at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, April 13th, 2026, this event highlighted the Equivital Physiological Monitoring System as a transformative tool for bridge the gap between mental toughness and physical data.

Mental Toughness Meets Real-Time Data

The seminar opened with a compelling session by Dr. Iwan Hermawan, M. Pd., Dipl. Sport Conditioning. A veteran in the field, Dr. Iwan emphasized that while “mental toughness” is the cornerstone of success during high stakes matches, it can no longer be evaluated by observation alone.

“When we witness the real struggle of an athlete on the field, we need a physiological monitoring system capable of providing real-time, high-fidelity data,” Dr. Iwan stated.

He further noted that Indonesia still has significant room for growth in performance analysis. By integrating sports technology advancement with psychological consultation and mental training, coaches can offer a more holistic approach to improving an athlete’s overall health and competitive edge.

The Equivital Ecosystem: Precision in Motion

The second session featured Vaishnavi Devi, B.E., MBA, from ADInstruments, who introduced attendees to the advanced capabilities of the Equivital system and its seamless integration with the Lt Cloud-Based Learning Platform. As a cloud-based educational solution, Lt provides ready-to-use content for life science courses, enabling educators, researchers, and coaches to efficiently analyze and interpret complex physiological data.

During the presentation, Vaishnavi highlighted how the Equivital system delivers clinical-grade accuracy in monitoring key physiological parameters, including heart rate, respiration rate, and core body temperature, even during intense physical activity. This level of precision allows users to collect reliable real-world data while subjects are in motion.

She also demonstrated the system’s role in enhancing athlete safety through real-time monitoring of heat stress and physical exertion, helping to identify potential risks before they lead to injury. In addition, the comprehensive physiological insights generated by Equivital support evidence-based decision-making, providing coaches and sports scientists with objective data to optimize training intensity, manage recovery, and improve overall performance outcomes.

Moving beyond theory, the event transitioned into a dynamic workshop. Participants, ranging from students to sport science lecturers, received hands-on training on how the Equivital system is deployed on an athlete.

The workshop demonstrated the system’s ease of use, showing how the wearable sensors transmit vital signs wirelessly to the monitoring software. Attendees witnessed firsthand how an athlete’s physiological response to physical activity can be visualized instantly, allowing for immediate tactical adjustments.

Empowering the Next Generation of Champions

By bringing Equivital technology to the academic heart of UNJ, Sentral Lab Genetik continues its mission to provide world-class tools for Indonesian sports science. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) for the opportunity to collaborate on this seminar and workshop. We greatly appreciate the enthusiastic participation of the students, lecturers, and researchers who contributed to the success of the event.
